What See Spot Is

See Spot lets pet sitters, daycares, kennels and similar businesses share photos, video and messages about the pets in their care. Each pet gets its own web page. A page shows only what the business has chosen to share, and anyone who has the page's link can open it. Pet owners do not need an account.

Accounts and Staff

The person who signs up (the account holder) creates the business account, chooses the plan and is responsible for the account. The account holder can add staff, who log in with a username and password the account holder gives them. The account holder is responsible for what staff do in the account, for keeping logins private, and for removing people who should no longer have access.

You must give accurate information, keep your password secure, and tell us promptly if you think your account has been misused. Passwords must be at least 8 characters with letters and numbers.

What You Share

You own the photos, video and messages you post. You give us permission to store them, process them (for example, to make thumbnails) and show them on the pet pages you choose to share, for as long as you use See Spot, until it is removed as described below. We do not use your content for advertising.

Each entry (its message, photos and videos together) is removed automatically 30 days after it is posted, whether or not you shared it. The removal is permanent and the files are deleted from our storage. Entries that existed before this rule started count their 30 days from the day it started. If you want to keep something, save a copy yourself before then.

You promise that you have the right to post what you post and that doing so does not break the law or anyone's rights. In particular, you are responsible for having any permission you need from pet owners, and from any person who appears in a photo or video, before you share it. Pet pages are public to anyone with the link, so share only what you are comfortable with them seeing.

What You May Not Do

You may not use See Spot to:

• post unlawful, harassing, hateful, sexual or otherwise harmful content, or content showing animal abuse
• post content about people who have not agreed to appear, or content that infringes someone's copyright, privacy or other rights
• try to access other businesses' accounts or data, probe or disrupt the service, or work around its limits
• send spam or use See Spot to collect personal information from people
• resell the service or use it for anything other than sharing pet updates

Plans, Pages and Billing

See Spot is paid by subscription. A page is one pet. Basic includes up to 20 pages, Enhanced up to 100, and Pro up to 300, with additional pages on Pro at $0.40 each per month. Prices are shown in Settings under Subscription and when you choose a plan. Plans also include 2 GB of photo and video storage for each page, shared across your account and shown in Settings. When storage is full, new photos and videos cannot be added until space is freed; existing pet pages keep working.

Payments are handled by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not store your card number. New businesses start with a free trial of 7 days. A card is required to start it, and it is charged for the first month when the trial ends unless you cancel before then; each business gets one free trial. After that, subscriptions renew each month until canceled. You can change plans at any time; a change to a higher plan is charged for the difference today, and the new price applies from your next billing date.

If a payment fails we will tell you and give you time to fix it. If it stays unpaid, uploading may be paused and access may be limited.

Canceling and Deleting

You can cancel in Settings under Subscription. Your pet pages stay available until the end of the billing period you have paid for. After that they stop working, and anyone opening a link sees that the page is not available.

You can delete a pet at any time. Deleting a pet permanently removes its page, photos and videos; this cannot be undone. Deleted files are removed from storage within about a day. If your account ends, we will delete your content, except what we must keep by law.

Availability and Changes

We work to keep See Spot running, but we do not promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change or end features, and we may update these terms. If a change is significant we will tell you before it takes effect. Continuing to use See Spot after a change means you accept it.

Ending Your Access

We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms, puts others at risk, or is unpaid. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you why and give you a chance to export or remove your content first.

Disclaimers and Limits

See Spot is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. See Spot is a way to share updates; it is not a substitute for caring for or supervising animals, and photos or messages posted through it are the business's responsibility.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim about See Spot is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits or lost data. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of [State], without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be handled in the courts located there, unless the law requires otherwise.
